That's nonsense. 1 Thessalonians 5:2 Paul says not to despise prophesying 1 Corinthians 14:1 Paul wants us to especially pursue prophecy. Now listen I'm not some Benny Hinn or Kenneth Copeland or one of the other countless other false prophet followers, but that prophecy and tongues must be in order. Seldom is there order in the charismatic when speaking in tongues- but because we've been plagued by imitators is no means an indicator that the gifts have ceased. We must test the spirits. Even the early church has witness of miraculous gifts being exercised Justin, maybe I'm wrong, but you are a cessationist because you were never healed. The cessationist view did not come from the Bible. Why do you despise prophecy? What would you do if the two prophets of Revelation came in your lifetime? Would you deny them too or would you test the spirits?
